The purpose of teaching English in basic education is for students to obtain the necessary knowledge to participate in oral and written language social practices with native and non-native speakers of English through specific activities with the language. In other words, through activities that involve the production and interpretation of various oral and written texts -of daily, academic and literary nature-, students will be able to satisfy basic communication needs in various daily, familiar and familiar situations.
